Meet The Staff

Eric Koelsch, Executive Director

Eric began his career as a patient accounts manager for a multispecialty clinic. Over the years, he has gained knowledge in all aspects of medical group management, through his work with ophthalmologists, radiologists, family practices, urgent cares, occupational medicine, physical therapists and more.

Eric has also worked as an Administrator, Chief Operating Officer and a Health Care Consultant for a multitude of different medical practices. He has participated in implementation of numerous practice management systems, handled negotiation with all kinds of payers, has corrected significant accounts receivable problems for many practices, negotiated and implemented joint ventures and coordinated practices billing and coding seamlessly with their clinical services.

When Eric came to Medical Practice Management Services in 2001, the company was just getting started. Eric has since built the revenue cycle management services to the level of excellence they provide today. He has helped to put together a team of strong, long-term employees in the arena of billing and coding services. Eric feels MPMS can help any medical group resolve whatever revenue cycle issues they are having, bringing them the efficiency that maximizes their revenue stream.

Eric Koelsch has an MBA from the University of Idaho, and has been a medical manager for physician clinics since 1978.

Cristina Duthie, CPC, CPMA, Director

Cristina Duthie has been in the medical billing industry since 1993. She began her career as a biller for a family practice, where she stayed for four years. She then took a position as a business manager for a family practice, where she assisted in opening the practice, as well as managed their medical billing. Cristina also provided medical transcription services for multiple family practices as an independent contractor.

Cristina began her career at Medical Practice Management Services in 2000. Since joining the MPMS team, she has been the lead biller on multiple accounts, and specialties including: general surgery, ear nose and throat, palliative care, pediatrics, family practice and Federally Qualified Health Care Clinics (FQHC).

Cristina transitioned to MPMS' Executive Assistant in 2008, and to Director in 2014. She currently oversees all aspects of the billing, coding and credentialing departments, performs month end reports, practice fee analysis for clients, as well as annual encounter reviews for coding and documentation accuracy. Focus on compliance, quality, training and benchmarks to ensure MPMS is meeting industry standards.

Cristina graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Medical Secretarial in 1994. She obtained her certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in 2003, and her certification as a Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) in 2012, as well as completing the AAPC ICD-10-CM proficiency.

Laurie Troemel, CPC, CPMA, Assistant Director

Laurie Troemel has been in the medical billing industry since 1988. She began her career as a transcriptionist for two single provider practices. She was then hired on by one of these providers, where she was responsible for ICD-9 and CPT coding, charge and payment posting, insurance billing and patient account collections, general bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, GL entry and financial statement preparation.

Laurie has also worked for a large grocery store pharmacy chain as a third-party administrator for ten regional pharmacies. She later became an independent contractor for the company where she trained pharmacy staff, coordinated pharmacy system upgrades, and resolved pharmacy network issues. Laurie was also employed with an area health district where she billed for home health services, and was responsible for insurance payment reconciliation and patient account management.

Laurie began her career with Medical Practice Management Services in 2008 as a Patient Account Representative. That same year, she transitioned to lead biller for multiple accounts and specialties including family practice, general surgery, ear nose and throat, palliative care, pediatrics, pain management, and behavioral health. She transitioned to Assistant Director in 2016, and assists in overseeing billing, coding, credentialing, compliance and quality.

Laurie became a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in 2009, and obtained her Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) certification in 2014. She has also completed the AAPC ICD-10-CM proficiency certification.

Coylene Kramer, CPC, Billing Team Lead

Coylene Kramer has been in the medical billing industry since 1986. She began her career with the first OB/GYN doctors in the area to do laser surgery. She did CPT & ICD9 coding for surgeries, OB care with and without complications, along with general bookkeeping, payroll, and accounts payable, and managed a multiple doctor OB/GYN clinic for 10 years.

She began her career with Medical Practice Management Services in 1999 when it was just getting started, as the first medical biller/coder. Coylene has been the lead biller on multiple accounts and specialties including Federally Qualified Health Care Clinics (FQHC), Family Practice, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Urgent Care. She now supervises a team of billers.

Coylene obtained her certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in 2003 and has also completed the AAPC ICD-10-CM proficiency certification.

Diane Solomon, CPC, Billing Team Lead

Diane Solomon has been in the medical billing industry since 1971. She began her career at a hospital billing office and then for an orthopedic surgery clinic. She has also worked in family practice as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery before coming to Medical Practice Management Services. Over her 40 plus year career she has been responsible for all aspects of the medical office environment including insurance billing, coding, posting of all patient charges, accounts payable and payroll.

Diane began her career with Medical Practice Management Services in 2002. She now supervises a team of billers for MPMS.

Diane is currently serving on the North Idaho College Medical Administrative Programs Advisory Committee, and was the local chapter president for the AAPC in 2011.

Diane obtained her certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in 2004 and has also completed the AAPC ICD-10-CM proficiency certification.

Rene Bullock, Billing Team Lead

Rene began her career working in the X-Ray Department of a hospital. Her experience includes management of a Neurosurgery office, working at a medical group where she was the Nurse Supervisor to 17 nurses, and billing for a women’s health center.

Rene joined MPMS in 2004, and has recently become a team lead who focuses on billing for one of our FQHC clinics.



Shelley Wilkes, CPB, Accounts Receivable Team Lead

Shelley Wilkes has been in the medical billing industry since 1996. She began her career as an accounts receivable representative for a large outpatient rehabilitation services company.

Shelley has worked for MPMS since 2003, working accounts receivable for urgent care clinics. In September 2015 transitioned to accounts receivable for Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers. She now supervises a team of accounts receivable representatives.

Shelley obtained her certification as a Certified Professional Biller (CPB) in 2015.

Michelle Dudley, Patient Collections Team Lead

Michelle Dudley began her career as a patient account representative doing commercial hospital billing, account receivables follow up, and handling patient inquiries and processing refunds.

Michelle began her career with Medical Practice Management Services in 2006 as a Patient Account Representative specializing in collections of self-pay accounts, and she is now a Team Lead who supervises a team of collectors.

Megan Laney, CPC, Billing Team Lead

Megan began her medical billing career in 2011 with MPMS, where she started as a Patient Account Representative. She is now a Team Lead who oversees accounts that focus on many different specialties.

Megan graduated from North Idaho College in 2011 with her AAS as a Medical Billing Specialist. She obtained her certification as a Certified Professional Coder in December of 2013 and has also completed the AAPC ICD-10-CM proficiency certification.

Kristyn Dice, Credentialing Team Lead

Kristyn began her career working for a radiology group in the Provider Licensing Department, where she managed over a 100 radiologist licensure in 5 states. From there she went into the Privileging Department, where she managed those same providers hospital privileges at over 90 different hospitals throughout the country.

In 2012, Kristyn began her career at MPMS, where she currently manages over 26 different medical groups to include over 300 providers of all different specialties. Three of her groups are some of the area’s largest FQHC’s and she takes great pride in helping them grow within our community. She is now a Team Lead who supervises the entire Credentialing Department.

Nancy Potter, Billing Team Lead

Nancy has been in the medical billing industry since 1991. She began her career as a Patient Account Representative for a billing office managed by a group of Urgent Care providers that managed accounts for, pathology, psychotherapy, massage therapy, physical therapy, and family practice. She was responsible for review of ICD-9 and CPT, software and system upgrades, charge and payment posting, insurance billing and patient account collections, general bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, GL entry and financial statement preparation. She went on to become the Billing Office Manager, where she helped to manage the continued growth of both the billing office and Urgent Care services they provided.

Nancy began her career with Medical Practice Management Services in 2013 as a Patient Account Representative, and she now supervises a team of billers.
